Academic
We desire to serve Christian families in the education of their children. We ask for copies of achievement tests or academic records with the application. Enrollment is finalized after an Orientation with the Administrator. Parents must be willing to accept, without verbal or mental reservation, the ECS Statement of Faith and Foundation Philosophy of Education.
Eugene Christian School does not currently have the specialized resources, facilities, or instructional capacity to teach children who have specific learning differences.
Students must meet the course requirements as assigned by the teacher. Course requirements must be completed in order to receive credit for a course.
Behavior
Students who attend Eugene Christian School are expected to cooperate with school standards and maintain a positive attitude toward the school, their teachers, and fellow students. Students with behavioral histories in other schools will be evaluated on an individual basis for admittance or rejection. A probationary period may be considered for some students.
Physical
All students are expected to participate in all normal classroom activities including P.E. At this time, we are not able to accommodate students with severe physical disabilities (unless parents provide a full-time aide).
 Spiritual
Parents and students must be active in a Bible-believing church.
Parents who desire to enroll their children in our school shall express as their primary motive for enrollment that of continuing the Christian training which has begun in the home. Parents must evidence motivated, energized Christian training already in progress in the home.
To remain at ECS, the student must exemplify by his/her attitudes and lifestyle that he is committed to be conformed to the image of Christ, to be obedient to God's Word, and to exhibit a teachable spirit. This will be reflected in speech, respect for authority, reverence for the Lord, and in fruit evident to believers around him.
Age Requirements & Placement
A child should be 5 years old as of September 1st to enter Kindergarten. If a child shows a high readiness score and space is available, exceptions may be made up to September 30. A probation period would be required.
The age of an enrolling student shall be typical of that of his designated class within one year.
Grade placement for all students will be determined by the administrator and staff.
Our school reserves the right to adjust course selections and/or combinations of classes at each grade level based on final course enrollments.
Re-admission Policy
The re-enrollment form, signed by both parents, and a non-refundable registration fee must be received by the office to insure placement for the school term.
All outstanding tuition must be paid by June 30 in order for placement to be guaranteed.
Students who have been placed on probationary status the previous year will be reviewed by the Administrator.
