2011-12 Eugene Christian School Board Of Directors
The Board of Directors is elected by the school parent body each May at the Annual Meeting. The Board is elected to represent the parents in making decisions about policy, mission, vision of the school and to oversee the school administrator.
The Board meets monthly on the third Tuesday at 6:00pm in the school Library. Parents are welcome to come to the Board meetings. To have something brought to the Board for consideration, a written request must be made to the Board President two days prior to the Board meeting to be placed on the agenda.
We are committed to maintaining open communication between the Board and ECS Parents. Each Board member is assigned to be a liaison for a class. The listing of the Board, the class they are the liaisons, and email contact information follows:

Board Committees:
Membership on the respective committees shall be by appointment by the Board of Directors, upon careful consideration of the character, training and experience of appointees. Said committees shall be directly responsible to the Board.
EDUCATION & ACADEMIC AFFAIRS: Curriculum educational policies, faculty hiring and evaluation, supplies, admissions policies, student activities, etc.
CHAIR:
BUDGET & FINANCE: Financial policies, budgeting, legal financial matters, tuition and salaries, benefits insurance, discounts, financial aid, etc.

BUILDING & MAINTENANCE: Care and maintaining of existing buildings and grounds, planning for future needs and projected growth, coordination of remodeling, upgrades, repairs, etc.

DEVELOPMENT: Finding funds for the operation and capital development of the school; deferred giving, donor contacts, fund-raising, foundations.

RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION: Student recruitment, student retention, brochures, recruitment campaigns, tours, previews, church and preschool connections

BOARD MEMBER QUALIFICATIONS
The Board of Directors of Eugene Christian School consists of not more than 15 elected persons. Any new member nominated to the Board shall have served on a board-appointed committee for a period of six months prior to their nomination to the Board of Directors. Every member of the Board shall declare unconditional acceptance of the basis and purpose of the school as expressed in the By-Laws of the Constitution and shall declare unconditional acceptance and agreement with the Constitution of the school. They shall be a member in good standing of a church whose doctrine embraces the fundamental principles expressed in the Constitution of the school; shall be a born again Christian, maintaining a consistent Christian testimony in his life and shall be scripturally founded in his teaching and witness.
