About Eugene Christian School

Education Goals

The overall purpose of Eugene Christian School is to prepare students to live in obedience to God in our secular world. Our specific goals are:

  • To provide an educational experience that is designed to point the child to God.
  • To give the students a Christ-centered education.
  • To support the efforts of parents as they accept and fulfill their responsibility to give their children a Christian education.
  • To turn the hearts of the students to their parents so that they will listen to them and receive their instruction.
  • To encourage students to put their trust in Jesus Christ for eternal life
  • To train students to be able to recognize godly men and women who live their lives in obedience to God.
  • To equip children to view and evaluate all of life, experience, and knowledge from a Biblical perspective.
  • To encourage students to have a personal relationship with God, which manifests itself in knowing, loving, and fearing His authority.
  • To develop an understanding of one’s unique responsibility to God and to one another.
  • To help students realize their capabilities and limitations and how to make the most of them, equipping them for growth, Christian service, and Church leadership.
  • To equip each student with the ability to communicate clearly, logically, and effectively through reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • To encourage creativity and curiosity.
  • To teach the fundamentals of physical fitness, including nutrition and hygiene.
  • To teach the fundamentals of academics, including Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.
  • To provide an educational program this is committed to the Judeo-Christian foundations of American ideals and patriotism.
  • To prepare students: to defend their faith, to be a living witness to God’s truth through the Lord Jesus Christ; to provide practical ways to propagate Christian faith to future generations.
“I’ll let you in on the sweet old truths, stories we heard from our fathers, counsel we learned at our mother’s knee. We’re not keeping this to ourselves; we’re passing it along to the next generation.” Psalms 78:1-3 (The Message)
