Advance the Mission

While the unique educational experience provided at Eugene Christian School is priceless, there is a price to provide the high quality education our students are experiencing.  In order to keep tuition affordable, Eugene Christian School charges less than the actual cost of educating our students.  Below are some of our programs and endowments that help us meet our financial objectives as they relate to the building, staff and students.  You may designate your gift by including the name of the program in the memo of your check or through our online donation system.

Sponsor-a-Student

Eugene Christian School endeavors to assist families who want their children to enroll but finances are a barrier for them to pay the full tuition. We want to help families to pay whatever matches their financial ability and then try to meet them the rest of the way.  This includes traditional financial aid and pastoral families.  We assist financially in three ways:

1. By keeping tuition as affordable as possible;

2. By waving a portion of tuition for qualifying students and funding that discount through our general budget; and

3. By providing scholarships through our Sponsor A Student Fund.

TUITION ASSISTANCE this year:

  • 60 students (27% of our student body) receive tuition assistance

  • $250,000 is the total amount of tuition assistance provided this year

  • Tuition assistance is financial aid for families in need of help so they can enroll their children

Angela's Angels Endowment Fund

Angela Kallien Ulrich graduated from Eugene Christian School in 1987. She passed away suddenly on October 13, 2006. Angie’s mother, Meladie Kallien, served on our staff for more than 30 years.  A memorial endowment fund has been established and all donations are placed in Angela’s Angel Fund with the Oregon Community Foundation. Interest from this endowment fund goes directly to Eugene Christian School’s Sponsor a Student Scholarship Fund. Every donations to Angela’s Angel Fund is permanently held in the endowment fund so the gift will continue to generate interest year after year.  Currently the fund is over $30,000 and the interest this year funds tuition assistance for 3 students.

Teacher Endowment Fund

At Eugene Christian School when you invest in our teachers you are also investing in our students.  While budgets can be difficult in various seasons, we believe in recruiting and retaining high quality teachers who are immeasurable in advancing the mission of ECS.  According to the National Center of Statistics (2011), private school teachers earn 20% less in salary than comparable public school teachers.

If you have a heart to financially support teachers, we invite you to join us in building our Teacher Endowment Fund.
